Aviation activity, movements of the troops by rail and roads in Belarus.

During the week, active movements of trains with equipment of the Belarusian Armed Forces were recorded. A passenger aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces arrived in Minsk. Regular movements of equipment of the Russian Armed Forces continue in Mazyr.

Aviation activity

  • Aviation activity was recorded at Machulishchy, Lida, Baranavichy, Luninets, Asautsy airfields, and at Minsk National Airport and Brest airport. Flights of aircraft and helicopters of the Belarusian Air Force and Russian Aerospace Forces were recorded.
  • On February 27, flights of fighters of the Russian Aerospace Forces were conducted at Baranavichy airfield.
  • On February 27, flights of helicopters of the 50th Combined Air Base of the Belarusian Air Forces in the area of the state border with Poland were recorded.
  • On February 28, a Tu-134 passenger aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces left Minsk National Airport. Most likely, the aircraft arrived for maintenance at the Minsk Civil Aircraft Plant No.407.
  • On March 1, a Tu-154 passenger aircraft with Viktor Goremykin, the Deputy Minister of Defense of Russia and the Head of the Main Military and Political Directorate, on board arrived at Machulishchy airfield. The official participated in events dedicated to the 20th anniversary of ideological bodies of the Belarusian Armed Forces.

Rail activity

  • On February 27, a military cargo train with equipment of the Belarusian Armed Forces was moving between Luninets and Mikashevichy stations (Brest region). Most likely, these were the movements of units of the Belarusian Armed Forces for the rotation of the 357th Separate Airborne Battalion of the 103rd Airborne Brigade, deployed in Homiel district.
  • On February 29, a train with equipment of the anti-aircraft missile-artillery divizion of the 11th Mechanized Brigade was being formed at Slonim station. The unit was on its way to field drills.
  • On February 29, a train with equipment of the 78th Separate Mechanized Battalion of the 6th Mechanized Brigade was being formed at Palonka station. The unit was returning to the permanent deployment point from the Obuz-Liasnouski training ground after training with mercenaries of PMC Wagner and conducting battalion tactical drills.
  • On March 1, a train with equipment of artillery units of the Belarusian Armed Forces was spotted in Minsk.

Movements by road

  • Single vehicles of the Russian Armed Forces were repeatedly spotted in Mazyr
  • No movements of PMC Wagner vehicles were recorded.
  • Small convoys (up to 10 pieces) and single vehicles of the Belarusian Armed Forces were spotted in Minsk and on some sections of the М1, М6, M4, M9, and other highways.

Combat training

Combat training activities with units of the Belarusian Armed Forces were conducted at the Hozhski, Lepelski, Obuz-Liasnouski, Chapialova and other training grounds, as well as in the vicinity of Saki village, Zhabinka district.
