Military activity on the territory of Belarus on February 12-18
Aviation activity, movements of the troops by rail and roads in Belarus.
During the week, a military transport aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces arrived in Belarus. There was also increased aviation activity connected with the “counter-terrorist operation”. Movements of equipment of the Russian Armed Forces were recorded.
Aviation activity
- Aviation activity was recorded at Machulishchy, Lida, Baranavichy, Lipki, Luninets airfields, and at Homiel airport. Flights of aircraft and helicopters of the Belarusian Air Force and Russian Aerospace Forces were recorded.
- On February 14, flights of fighters of the Russian Aerospace Forces were conducted at Baranavichy airfield.
- On February 14, an Il-76 military transport aircraft of the Belarusian Air Force arrived at Machulishchy airfield from Russia. The aircraft brought a group of Belarusian military, who were taking a one-month training course there.
- On February 15, an An-12 military transport aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces arrived at Homiel airport from Russia. On February 17, the aircraft flew to Machulishchy airfield, and then to Russia (Rostov-on-Don).
- On February 15, active flights of helicopters of the Belarusian Air Force were recorded, which was related to the conduct of the “counter-terrorist operation” in Lelchytsy district.
Rail activity
- No rail activity was recorded.
Movements by road
- Single vehicles of the Russian Armed Forces were spotted in Homiel and on some sections of the M10 highway.
- No movements of PMC Wagner vehicles were recorded. The mercenaries continue to conduct training with the Belarusian Armed Forces.
- Small convoys (up to 10 pieces) and single vehicles of the Belarusian Armed Forces were spotted in Minsk, Homiel, Hrodna, Stolin district, and on some sections of the М2 highway.
Combat training
Combat training activities with units of the Belarusian Armed Forces were conducted at the Obuz-Liasnouski, Barysauski, Brestski, Losvida, Uruchcha, Lepelski, Chapialiova training grounds, and in the vicinity of Saki village, Zhabinka district.
