This became known from the tender.

On February 14, the command of the Special Operations Forces of the Belarusian Armed Forces signed contracts under the tender “Underwear and uniform laundry services, Homiel region.” The period of services is from February 26 to December 31, 2024.

The terms and conditions of the tender state that the acceptance of underwear and uniforms is carried out on the territory of the customer. Its location was not specified – only Homiel region was mentioned in the tender.

The location of the customer of the services can be understood from the information on the winners of the tender. Two organizations will provide services to the military:

  • Mazyr District Consumer Services Plant;
  • CJSC SNEZHINKA from Homiel.

There are no Special Operations Forces units permanently stationed in Homiel region. However, since spring 2022, Special Operations Forces units have been stationed in Homiel region (in Mazyr and Homiel district) on a rotational basis to strengthen the protection of the border with Ukraine.

By coincidence (not), units of the 1530th Anti-Aircraft Missile Regiment of the Russian Armed Forces have been stationed at Mazyr and Ziabrauka airfields, also located in Mazyr and Homiel districts, since 2022. These military facilities don’t have an official status (e.g. military base of the Russian Armed Forces).

Special Operations Forces of Belarus will guard Russian military in the border area with Ukraine until the end of 2024 Belarusian Hajun

We have previously drawn attention to the fact that units of the Special Operations Forces are engaged not only in guarding the border with Ukraine, but also in providing security for the Russian military.

The Special Operations Forces command also plans to conduct field drills near Luninets airfield (Brest region) from March to December 2024. The 56th Anti-Aircraft Missile Regiment of the Belarusian Armed Forces (military unit 10198) is stationed at the airfield. Apparently, the Special Operations Forces will take this military facility under guard as well.

Thus, until the end of 2024, the Special Operations Forces will guard units of the Air Defense Forces of Belarus and Russia located at Luninets, Mazyr and Ziabrauka airfields.
