About 1500 people
On November 9, servicemen of the Internal Troops, drafted for compulsory service during the fall conscription, took the military oath. Here we report on which units the new recruits were sent to for service.
There was contradictory information about the total number of conscripts who were sent to staff units of the Internal Troops. For example, on November 6, the press service of the Internal Troops said, “More than 1000 men from all over the country will take the oath of allegiance to their homeland.” And on the day of taking the oath, November 9, this figure rose to “more than 1500 servicemen.” Therefore, we shall assume that during the fall conscription, ≈1500 people joined the Internal Troops.
The distribution of recruits by formations (brigades) and military units (separate battalions) is as follows:
- the 1st Militia Brigade (military unit 5448) – over 400
- the 2nd Militia Brigade (military unit 3310) – 205
- the 3rd Special Forces Brigade (military unit 3214) – over 350
- the 4th Militia Brigade (military unit 7404) – over 130
- the 5th Militia Brigade (military unit 6713) – 93
- the 6th Militia Brigade (military unit 5525) – about 100
- the 7th Militia Brigade (military unit 5524) – over 60
- the 11th Separate Special Battalion (military unit 7434) – almost 100
In total, ≈1438 people
As can be seen, half of the conscripts were assigned to staff two units of the Internal Troops – the 1st and 3rd Brigades.
In addition, it was reported that military personnel drafted for military service under contract instead of compulsory military service took the military oath:
- September 18 – the 3rd Special Forces Brigade (military unit 3214)
- September 28 – the 9th Separate Special Militia Battalion (military unit 5530)
- October 12 – the 4th Militia Brigade (military unit 7404)
- November 16 – the 4th Militia Brigade (military unit 7404)
In total, ≈67 people
Thus, in total, during the fall conscription, ≈1500 people were drafted for compulsory service and military service under contract, which corresponds to the official information. The figure obtained should not be taken as a final figure, since the number of servicemen who took the military oath in formations or military units was most often presented approximately (more, about, almost, etc.).

As can be seen, there is nothing unusual about the conscription to the Internal Troops in 2024. The number of recruits drafted during both the fall and spring conscriptions is comparable to the conscriptions of previous years. In other words, there is no tendency towards an increase in the number of Internal Troops due to the draft of conscripts.
The chart also clearly shows the correlation between the number of recruits drafted during the spring and fall conscriptions. During the fall conscriptions, more conscripts are always drafted to serve in the Internal Troops than during the spring conscriptions. This is due to the fact that the fall conscription includes graduates of educational institutions (graduation in the vast majority of cases takes place in summer, in June).
