Latvia introduces a flight restriction zone for UAVs near the border with Belarus

The restrictions apply to UAV and drone flights at altitudes from 0 to 2895 meters.

The Civil Aviation Agency of Latvia reports that the country introduces restrictions on the use of airspace in the border area with Belarus from October 16 until the end of this year.

The airspace use restrictions come into effect at midnight on October 16 and will be in effect until December 31, 2023. The restrictions apply to UAV and drone flights at altitudes from 0 to 2895 meters.

The restrictions don’t apply to UAVs of the country’s National Armed Forces (NBS).
