Since the establishment of the medal, 38 Belarusians fighting on the side of Ukraine have received it.
Belarusian fighters of the 1st Separate Air Assault Company, who proved themselves in the fight against the occupants, received medals for military merit from the Rada of the Belarusian People’s Republic (BNR). The awards were presented by representative of the United Transitional Cabinet on defense and national security Valery Sakhashchyk.
It’s reported that the Company has been at the front for six months, at one of its most difficult parts.
The medal for military merit is awarded for “personal courage, shown in circumstances involving risk to life and defense of freedom, sovereignty and democratic constitutional order of Belarus based on the ideals of March 25.”
Since the establishment of the medal, 38 Belarusians fighting on the side of Ukraine in various military units have already received it.
