Training sessions with the territorial defense were held in 12 districts of Belarus.
The Ministry of Defense of Belarus reports that on November 22-23, a training session with officials of the territorial defense authorities are held at the Losvida training ground. The purpose of the training is to improve the level of knowledge of officers of military commissariats in preparation for the fulfillment of tasks assigned by the authorities and the territorial defense forces.
The training session involves representatives of military commissariats, whose competence includes solving the issues of the territorial defense, and representatives of the State Inspectorate for the Protection of Fauna and Flora. This year the Inspectorate is included in the territorial defense.
At the session, comprehensive tactical, firearms and engineering training is conducted. Participants are also trained in “work at the checkpoint” and “guard and defense of objects of the territorial defense.”
In 2023, training sessions with the territorial defense were held in 12 districts of Belarus:
- Minsk region and Minsk city – in Barysau and Salihorsk districts, as well as in Leninski district of Minsk;
- Hrodna region – in Karelichy and Navahrudak districts;
- Homiel region – in Mazyr district and Homiel city;
- Mahiliou region – in Mahiliou, Asipovichy and Chavusy districts;
- Vitsiebsk region – in Polatsk district;
- Brest region – in Luninets district.
At least 1287 reservists were drafted from the reserve for these training sessions.
