Military activity on the territory of Belarus on June 3-9

Aviation activity, movements of the troops by rail and roads in Belarus.

An-26 aircraft of the Russian Aerospace Forces arrived at Baranavichy airfield. The aircraft had been flying in Belarus’ airspace for a week. Russian military arrived in Belarus to participate in the military parade on July 3 in Minsk.

On June 5, a military cargo train with equipment of the Belarusian Armed Forces was spotted at Aziaryshcha station.

General conclusion on current situation

1) A Bogatyr SUV (Dongfeng Mengshi EQ2050F) was spotted in Luninets. This vehicle is in service with units of the Special Operations Forces of the Belarusian Armed Forces. Earlier, it was reported that the command of the Special Operations Forces was planning to conduct “field drills” of its units near Luninets airfield (Brest region) until December 2024. The 56th Anti-Aircraft Missile Regiment of the Belarusian Armed Forces (military unit 10198), formed in early 2023, is stationed at the airfield. Earlier, it was also reported that units of the Special Operations Forces protect the airfield.

Thus, Special Operations Forces continue to protect Luninets airfield.

2) On June 8, a group of servicemen of the Russian Armed Forces and 10 T-34 tanks arrived in Belarus to take part in the military parade to be held on July 3. In total, about 30 Russian servicemen arrived in Belarus.
