Two new border outposts will be built on the border with Ukraine
One in Homiel district, the other near Stolin
On July 11, Belarusian Hajun wrote that the State Border Committee planned to build a border guard outpost in Loyeu district. This information was confirmed.
On November 1, the State Border Committee published a tender for the purchase of “engineering services for integrated management of construction activities” for the border outpost in Karpauka (Loyeu district, Homiel region). The settlement is less than a kilometer from the border with Ukraine.
The Karpauka border outpost was formed back in September 2017 and is part of the Homiel Border Guard Group. It ensures the protection of the section of the border with Ukraine along the Sozh river. The peculiarity of the outpost is the modular placement of all its facilities. Part of the outpost’s facilities are located on land, and part – on water. That is, in this case it is not a question of forming a new unit, but of building a complex of “stationary” infrastructure.
In addition, the State Border Committee plans to build a border outpost in Selishcha (Stolin district, Brest region). The outpost will be part of the Pinsk border guard detachment.
The plans for the construction of the Selishcha outpost have been known for a long time. For example, back in 2019, project documentation was developed for the construction of a power transmission line for, among other things, “the planned Selishcha border outpost.”
At the same time, back in 2016, state media wrote about the existence of the Selishcha border post. But as of 2021, there was no such unit in the Pinsk border guard detachment.
Probably, earlier the border post was temporary. And later it was decided to reorganize it into a linear border post.
The construction of both border posts includes the erection of administrative and technical buildings, dog kennels, dormitories for servicemen, engineering networks and communications. It is planned that all the facilities will be built by the end of 2026.
Recall that earlier we wrote about the construction of a new border outpost in Naroulia district of Homiel region. The expansion of the network of border outposts on the Belarus-Ukraine border continues.
